Evaluation & Promotion

General Conditions

  • The academic year is divided into two terms: April to September and October to March. There is an examination at the end of each term and “Progress Report” is issued.
  • Serious action will be taken if the mark/grades are tampered with.
  • No request will be entertained to anticipate/postpone any unit test for individual students for any reason whatsoever.
  • Willful breach of any of the regulation pertaining to the class test or any exam is punishable which will lead to disqualification from assessment / tests. If a student is caught using or assisting in the use of unfair means in the exams or tests, the same will be considered null and void.
  • Discrepancies in awarding marks, if any should be brought to the notice of the respective teacher/Principal within 24 hours of the distribution of answer scripts. No change in Marks or Grades will be permitted after the stipulated time, nor any complaint entertained to that effect.

Promotion Criteria

  • The promotion criteria of class IX, X are subject to modifications as notified by CBSE from time to time.
  • Result declared at the close of the year is final in all cases and will not be reconsidered.

Dear Parents,
Kindly note that the examinations from the academic year 2017-18 and onwards would be conducted as per the following assessment structure:

Co-Scholastic Area

Under the co-scholastic area the following activities will be graded on five-point grading scale (A-E).

  • Work education Music
  • Art education
  • Health and physical education
  • Discipline

Admission & Withdrawals

  • This process is effective only through written communication in the form of an application.
  • Telephonic messages/ Verbal communication or an email will not be considered authentic.
  • Application for Transfer Certificate must be made on the prescribed form available from the office.
  • Transfer certificates will be issued only after clearance signatures have been obtained from all departments.

LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS

  • Every student must possess his/ her Library Card while making use of the Library facility.
  • Strict discipline must be maintained in the Library.
  • Indiscipline may lead to disciplinary action and the library privileges may be withdrawn.
  • One book will be issued against one Reader for specific number of days only.
  • Reference material should not be taken outside the Library.
  • Newspapers and Periodicals will not be issued.
  • When books are issued, students should check the pages of the issued books and if pages are found missing, they should report the same to the Librarian before leaving the counter.
  • Students are required to handle books and reading material very carefully.
  • Marking library books with pencil or ink, tearing the pages or spoiling the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously.
  • In the event of damage of any kind, the reader will be liable to compensate for damage. Books will have to be replaced.
  • It is observed that some of the students do not return the Library Books on or before the due date stamped on the date slip attached in the book depriving other students. In order to prevent such students from keeping Library books with them beyond due date, a fine will be charged.
  • In case a Reader loses a book, he/ she should replace the book. In case the book cannot be replaced, the current price of the book will be paid by the borrower.
  • Library card is non-transferable. Library facilities will be withdrawn for students misusing cards
  • The school Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate will be issued to student only after he/ she has returned all the Library books and cleared all library dues.
  • Reader’s ticket must be renewed every year as notified.

Note: Violation of these Rules will call for disciplinary action against the defaulters.

Recommendation to Parents

  • Politeness and courtesy of speech and conduct should be inculcated as well as cleanliness of dress and person.
  • When communicating with the Principal, parents or guardians are requested to mention in their letter, Admission No., the name, class and section of their wards
  • Parents are requested not to enter the classrooms, much less ask their domestic helpers to do so. All dealings with the teachers must be conducted through the Principal.
  • Parents, guardian or other interested persons are strictly forbidden to see their wards or interview their teachers during school hours without the sanction of the Principal.
  • As the medium of instruction in this school is English, the children should be helped to follow their classes easily and intelligently by a certain amount of regular English Conversation at home.
  • Support the work of the school particularly by enforcing regularity and discipline and by evincing interest in your child’s progress and by extending the fullest co-operation by participating in school activities.
  • Encourage your child to make a time table for home study, recreation etc and prepare his/her things for school next day.
  • Inculcate in your child the reading habit. Encourage him/her to read books.
  • Parents are requested to take children away within 15 minutes after the school hours.
  • In order to avoid the feeling of disparity among students, parents are requested not to celebrate their ward’s birthday lavishly in school, only toffees can be sent through their children.
  • The school is concerned about the well being and the welfare of every student. Therefore, the parents are requested to ensure that their wards carry their Tiffin’s with them when they leave for school in the morning. Due to security reasons the school will not accept tiffins or any other material from anybody concerned with the ward.
  • A written application with the full particulars of the ward should be submitted in the office for any documents/certificates needed from the school office, at least two days in advance.

Fee Rules

  • School Fees are payable for twelve months and to be paid in 2 installments.
  • The fees will be collected through Axis Bank, on working days.
  • Parents can now pay the fee of their wards online via school mobile app and student Login. This is an Endeavour to encourage cashless transaction and to save valuable time otherwise spend in visiting the bank.
  • Fees details can be viewed & online payment by the students

Safety/Security

  • Entry to the school building strictly restricted and guarded.
  • Efficient communication system in place between the school reception and the school gate guards on duty.
  • All visitors are required to fill in the “VISITORS REGISTER”.
  • Wearing of I – Card is mandatory for all the students
  • Police verification of all School Personnel
  • Police verification of staff including the Principal is almost complete.
  • Installation of CCTV cameras
  • CCTV cameras have been installed and constant checks are made to ensure their proper working Camera recordings are monitored regularly by the school authorities.
  • Entry into the school premises must be in compliance with security norms.
  • CCTV cameras are in place and repair of the same are carried out at regular intervals.
  • School audit for fire safety is conducted regularly.
  • School is regularly checked for safety of the building and the certification for the same is in place.
  • Restrictions regarding the usage of toilets.
  • Washrooms renovated and updated with Best amenities have been provided for the students at every floor of the school building.
  • Separate toilets have been provided for the teaching staff, administrative staff members, All washrooms are regularly checked and inspected by the designated staff members.
  • The administrative staff takes periodic rounds of the wash rooms, lunch areas, classrooms and open spaces during and after school hours.
  • Sensitization about the safety and security of children
  • A Life skills programme is in place to educate our children and the students too are sensitized through the multimedia programmes about the concepts of ‘good touch & bad touch’ Consultative processes with the parents and children.
  • Each academic year the parents are oriented about the safety and security measures for their wards.
  • Constant interaction and counseling sessions held by the school counselors. Student suggestion boxes are situated all over the school.
  • Safety and security Committee.
  • Grievances Redressed Forum.
  • Parent-Teacher-Student Committee.

We continue to strive for the Safety and Happiness of our children and staff.

No student shall indulge in any of the following practices:

  • Carrying and using mobile phones.
  • Misuse of Smart Board.
  • Spitting and littering in the school premises.
  • Disfiguring or damaging school property.
  • Writing on the shirts and uniform.
  • Smoking or taking gutka, pan masala etc.
  • Any form of gambling.
  • Rowdyism and rude behavior.
  • Use of violence in any form.
  • Any form of cyber crime.
  • Discrimination of any kind.
  • Bursting crackers or throwing colour on one another within the school premises.
  • The observance of rules of discipline and good behavior shall be a condition essential to a student's continuation in the school. In case of breach of discipline by a student, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.
  • In continuation with school rules and punishable offences:
  • The students should not use any unfair means and malpractices during exams
  • The students should not indulge in fighting and using abusive language.
  • Bunking classes is strictly prohibited.
  • The students to maintain discipline in the class and not cause any disruption of classroom teaching.

Late Arrivals in School

  • The school gate will close at 7:50 am sharp.
  • Late arrivals will be sent home immediately.
  • Disciplinary action will be taken against late arrivals who are not carrying the Almanac.

Note:

  • All parents are requested to check the complete school uniform of their ward and their bag before they send them to school.
  • In case of violation of Rules, appropriate action will be taken

Attendance

  • It is compulsory for all students to complete 75% attendance before every exam to make them eligible to sit for the examination. In case attendance is short, students will not be eligible for promotion/any academic award.
  • Adequate preparatory leave is given before each exam. It is mandatory for students to attend school till the last working day.
  • Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days are not allowed
  • All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation and must be present before closing for the vacations. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate within 3 days.
  • A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from a doctor.
  • Students suffering from any one of the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine as per doctors advice before returning to class.
    • Chicken pox - Till complete falling of scabs.
    • Cholera - Till the child is completely well.
    • Measles - Two weeks after the rash disappears.
    • Mumps - Until the swelling has gone.
    • Whooping cough
    • Jaundice
  • Any student, representing the school in sports other activities, will have to take proper permission by the event in charge duly signed by Principal
